Discover how Faith Can Affect Your Purpose And Destiny.(Begin To Function Like God).


In today’s article, I will be sharing with you some key revelations I discovered from the book of Genesis 1:26. “Then God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over all the earth”. When God made you and me in his likeness, he did not make us to look like him, he made you to function like him. That is what “Likeness” means. When God created you, he made you to operate and function like him in other words, if you are not functioning like God, then you are “Malfunctioning” because God has wired you to do so.

The big question is, how does God function?

I will be emphasizing briefly on one of the ways that God functions and that is through FAITH. (Believe).

What is faith?
Hebrews chapter 11 in the Bible is known as “The Hall of Faith”. Perhaps that is because Hebrews 11:1 is the best place to find the Biblical definition of faith

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (KJV). 1 John 5:4

The Bible uses the words faith and belief or believe interchangeably. Eternal life is received by grace through faith. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world and without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6).

Acts 6:5 And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch.

These men were chosen not because of their background or origin, color or race, social status or influence, but rather they were called into their place of purpose and destiny because they were men full of faith. This tells us that if we must walk with boldness and confidence into our calling, purpose and destiny we must be full of faith. You can’t possess what God has kept for you or prepared for you on the platform of doubt and unbelief. Many people today have lost their glory and missed their favor due to lack of faith. Your situations’ might not be friendly today, but you have to stick to the word of God and believe that all things are working together for your success. Romans 8:28.

Do not allow your current situation to detour your expectation. Faith is all about confessing what you want to see even when there is no opportunity of getting it. Stop confessing your experience, Start confessing your expectation. That is faith.

God functions by faith. And can I tell you that one of the major characteristics of God that was activated during creation was faith. Read the account of creation in Genesis 1, you will discover that everything created by God was as a function of the faith he had that those words he spoke were going to manifest. There was no raw material for God to form the world, just like man was formed from the dust, rather the bible says in genesis chapter 1:2-3 “the earth was formless and empty”. What can you say about that. How can God create the earth from a formless and empty sphere. That is by faith.

When you begin to act faith, speak faith and live faith, you bring un-existing things into existence.

Our potentials therefore needs faith, in order to be maximized. Let us stop living below our privilege and lets start living within our heritage.


My prayer for you today is that God will empower with faith to function in the place of your purpose and destiny.
