In today’s article, I will be sharing with you some key revelations I discovered from the book of Genesis 1:26. “Then God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over all the earth”. When God made you and me in his likeness, he did not make us to look like him, he made you to function like him. That is what “Likeness ” means. When God created you, he made you to operate and function like him in other words, if you are not functioning like God, then you are “Malfunctioning” because God has wired you to do so.

"A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men". The reason why many folks remain the same way they are is because, they have failed to maximize their gift and that is why they still remain in the lowest profiles of life. On my own path of greatness one particular quote that always gave me motivation was this: “Every morning you have two choices; continue to sleep with your dreams or wake up and chase them.” Seeing so many successful athletes, businessmen, celebrities, politicians and motivational speakers; motivated me to chase my dreams. I have come to realize that your dreams must be authentic to you and you only. We were born to make sense of our own journey not others. I developed a notion that they were special, great people who worked hard to achieve their dreams.

There are two mediums through which man can access the rewards of God on earth and in heaven: 1.The labor of our hands (Deuteronomy 28:12)

  Imagine that you are watching a television show similar to To Tell the Truth. Several contestants try to convince you that they are the Real Man.  You have to guess which one is authentic and which ones are the imposters. Contestant #1 tell you he is the Real Man because he fills the traditional male role: he supports his family financially while his wife cares for the children and the home. As long as he provides a roof over their heads and food for them to eat, he's fulfilling his duty as a husband and father. This man doesn't consider his wife to be his true equal. Contestant #2 says he is the Real Man because he has a culturally progressive role: he shares household and child-rearing responsibilities with his wife while they both pursue careers. He thinks of his wife as his equal.

Many men are still wondering why they exist. Yet the Creator of man did not leave us guessing about who the male is supposed to be and what he is designed to do. What we will be looking at is the male's ideal purpose. This is not where we are right now. Yet God's ideal is what we should be moving toward; and by his grace, we will.
